January is a great time to kick-start your job search, employers often have renewed budgets to work with and more time to interview. January is also full of competition for jobs, so take a look at our top tips below to give yourself the best chance at finding your dream job this month.

Steps to set yourself up for success:

1.Think about it – before you put your CV online and line yourself up with 10 job interviews, make sure you’re ready to change job and you know what you’re looking for. You don’t want to waste your time interviewing just to turn down job offers in the end. Having a secure idea of what you’re looking for will set you up for a successful job search.
2.Update your CV – give yourself the best chance in securing a new position. Update your CV, include your most recent employment, dates and education. Make your CV stands out in all the right ways.
3.Utilise LinkedIn – build your network and message people. LinkedIn is a great way to connect with people you wouldn’t usually get to meet. It’s also a great tool for looking at a company/potential employer and the content they post.
